Job Description

Based in either Spain or Italy, the Commercial Director MEDNA will act as the strategic commercial lead for Managed Hotels across the Mediterranean & North Africa region, driving topline performance and strengthening alignment between commercial and operational teams.

Reporting to the VP Go-To-Market MEDNA, you will play a key role in shaping regional commercial strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting hotels in maximizing performance across revenue management, distribution, sales, and marketing.

This role requires a strong combination of strategic vision, analytical expertise, and operational pragmatism to drive sustainable business results across a diverse hotel portfolio.

What will you do?

  • Drive topline performance across the assigned portfolio of hotels by aligning commercial strategies with regional business objectives and market opportunities
  • Act as the main commercial partner for Operations teams (VPOs, SVPOs, General Managers), ensuring strong alignment between hotel operations and topline initiatives
  • Analyse market dynamics, competitive positioning, and demand trends to define impactful local and regional commercial strategies
  • Recommend and coordinate commercial initiatives to optimize key hotel KPIs including RevPAR, market share, channel mix, and profitability
  • Facilitate collaboration between hotels, owners, and central commercial teams to ensure effective activation of commercial strategies and programs
  • Lead performance reviews and topline action plans with operational leaders, ensuring accountability and measurable follow-up
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel owners and key stakeholders to support long-term commercial success
  • Identify risks and opportunities across the portfolio and proactively implement action plans to secure sustainable performance
  • Support the deployment of brand, loyalty, and commercial initiatives while reinforcing hotel engagement and commercial capabilities across the region

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • 8–12+ years of experience within the hospitality or travel industry, with strong exposure to commercial functions such as Revenue Management, Sales, Distribution, and Marketing
  • Proven experience managing multi-property environments and collaborating closely with hotel operations teams
  • Strong understanding of hotel performance metrics, distribution strategies, and market dynamics
  • Strong commercial acumen combined with advanced analytical and performance-driven capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across complex organizations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage operational leaders and owners effectively
  • Strategic mindset balanced with operational pragmatism and execution focus
  • Fluent in English; additional regional languages are considered a plus
