Role OverviewScorePlay signs deals with some of the biggest organizations in sports, and every one of them starts with a contract. We are hiring a Commercial Contracts Counsel to own that: redlines, negotiations, signatures, the whole thing. You work directly with Lou, our General Counsel, and are the first point of contact for Sales on contracts.
What you will do1. Contracts
You review, redline and negotiate the agreements that close our deals: MSAs, service agreements, order forms, SOWs, NDAs and DPAs, with clubs, leagues, federations, broadcasters and brands, often across several countries.
Sales comes to you when a deal is stuck on terms, and your job is to unstick it: fast turnaround, pragmatic fallbacks, and the judgement to know when a point is worth holding.
You partner with Sales, Finance, RevOps and Customer Success so contract terms match how the deal is actually priced, booked and delivered.
You take a share of vendor and partner agreements alongside Lou, split based on what is moving and where you want to build depth.
2. Tools, processes and enablement
We use AI heavily in contract work: drafting, first-pass reviews, summarizing counterparty terms. We want someone who genuinely enjoys this and keeps looking for a smarter way to handle the repetitive part.
Our legal playbook is young. You execute it, then you help Lou refine it with what you see in real negotiations.
3. Privacy and security
You contribute to customer security, privacy and vendor due-diligence questionnaires, and to DPA and international transfer questions. The heart of the role is contracts, with room to grow into broader compliance work if that interests you.
You know commercial contracts inside out. 3 to 5 years of experience, most of it in-house, with contracts at the core of what you did.
You work autonomously. Give you an MSA or a set of customer redlines and you come back with a position, a fallback and a recommendation.
You ship fast. A solid answer today beats a perfect one on Friday, and you're comfortable making the call at 80% certainty.
You're resourceful. When something is unclear, you dig, you ask, you find a way, rather than waiting for perfect instructions.
You like helping people win. Supporting a Sales team means being responsive, available, and genuinely happy when a deal signs because of your work.
You're excited by AI. You already use it in your legal work, or you can't wait to, and you keep looking for smarter ways to handle the repetitive parts.
You negotiate international contracts with some of the biggest names in sports: clubs, leagues, federations and broadcasters on every continent.
As our first commercial counsel, you own your function and you're the main partner of the Sales team on both sides of the Atlantic.
You sit in sales calls with senior stakeholders at major sports organizations, on deals worth USD 50k to 500k a year. When a deal closes, you're usually one of the key players who made it work.
Small team, short loops. You'll have the opportunity to bring ideas to the table, build playbooks, experiment with AI and new tools, and learn a ton along the way.
We know many people hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every single requirement on a job description. If you’re interested in ScorePlay but not sure you tick all the boxes, we’d still love to hear from you, this could be the start of a great long-term collaboration.

What We Do
Every match, training session, or live game generates thousands of photos and videos from multiple cameras, most of it scattered across tools and hard drives. ScorePlay centralises everything in one place and uses AI to automatically tag, sort, and organise content so sports organizations can find any moment in seconds. From there, clubs and leagues can edit directly inside the platform and instantly share assets with athletes, internal teams, broadcasters, sponsors, and partners. What used to take hours of manual work now happens in moments - helping organisations move faster, reduce costs, and get more value from every piece of content they create.
