As a Commercial Contracts Specialist you will work on a portfolio of diverse and exciting projects that will strengthen RAC’s commerciality, increase value, and reduce risk. This opportunity will see you engaging with various business leaders, and internal and external stakeholders, and be responsible for providing commercial expertise on contractual, procurement, supplier and governance activities which supports the achievement of strategic business objectives and improved value for RAC and our members.
Situated within a centralised specialist team, you will be engaging and facilitating teams across the business to deliver procurement and contract outcomes, on diverse projects that will strengthen RAC’s commerciality.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Commercial Contracts Specialist to deliver a value-add approach to commercial procurement and contract management at RAC.
This is a full-time permanent role.
What will you be doing?
Providing procurement and contract support across the business, as a trusted advisor of commercial and contract management processes.
Assisting the business areas with preparing tender documentation, receiving and evaluating tender submissions, and providing recommendations for contract award selection.
Compiling draft contracts, in collaboration with the key stakeholders and Legal.
Participating in the review, negotiation and finalisation of contract terms and conditions.
Supporting the business as required on pricing negotiations, individual supplier and panel management, KPI and annual contract reviews.
Providing oversight and advice on the management of the business leasing contract portfolios, including ongoing monitoring and review.
Providing value add recommendations, including advice on cost and delivery optimisation, risk mitigation and commercial analysis to business stakeholders.
Supporting the ongoing development, implementation, improvement and maintenance of procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and associated templates.
Supporting internal audit and ensuring timely follow-up of any internal audit findings and action items.
Participating in and providing commercial support for project related activities.
What are we looking for in you?
A driven Commercial professional with a proven track record in commercial and contract management, including, but not limited to:
Experience and ability to deliver on all aspects of the end-to-end procurement and contract lifecycle, including: Strategic Planning; Source-to-Contract; Contract Lifecycle Management; Supplier and Panel Relationship Management.
Ability to identify value creation opportunities and leakage, as well as the financial and commercial acumen to deliver initiatives that address these.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
Extensive experience in a similar fast- paced role and environment, with a proven track record in commercial contract negotiation, analysis, and management. \Ability to effectively manage and influence multiple senior stakeholders and to deliver to expectations.
Great communication and facilitation skills with both internal and external teams.
Proactiveness to work towards the achievement of RAC’s vision and strategy whilst maintaining focus on day-to-day operational requirements.
An innovative mindset to be responsive to changing business requirements.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business or related discipline is highly desirable.
