The Commercial Claims department is seeking a Commercial Claims Specialist II. A Claims Specialist handles all lines of Commercial business including coverage issues and litigation exposures. The Commercial Claims Specialist II is a disciplined self-starter with outstanding communication & customer service skills. Has developed coverage skills, negotiation experience, and is a creative & analytic proactive problem solver. Also, can prioritize work assignments, is an independent worker but can work as a member of the team. Individuals should be decisive, "own" the decisions they make, and the work produced, responsible, dependable and developing presentation skills.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, specific hours are subject to selected start times between 8:00am-9:00am pending supervisory approval.

Regular reviews of all open exposures, including input from the supervisor as needed, focusing on the investigation and the accuracy of the file reserves. Has experience with coverage issues requiring Reservation of Rights and coverage declination letters.
Investigate, review, analyze and evaluate the assigned property damage and bodily injury claims expeditiously (and if necessary, through the litigation process) in preparation for prompt resolution. Will keep the supervisor informed on claims progress as needed.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements.
A minimum 3-8 years of claims experience, this should include handling litigated and non-litigated property damage and bodily injury claims related to BOP, CA and CGL policies.
Initiates appropriate action to review coverage and proactively resolve all claim exposures in a manner consistent with existing law, license and company guidelines.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range: $81,124-$94,141Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave.
