Commercial Business Controller
We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Commercial Business Controller to partner with our Head of Commercial Czechia and Slovakia to drive short and long-term financial objectives across the region.
In this role, you won’t just report on performance — you’ll shape strategy, influence decisions, and make a measurable impact on the business. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will combine financial expertise with business insight to ensure smart investments, strong margins, and sustainable growth.
Main duties include:
- Conducting margin and volume analysis, consolidating and analysing results for management.
- Analysing financial performance and proposing and implementing actions to support business strategy.
- Ensuring financial control and compliance with company standards.
- Improving payback analysis from a financial perspective to support business decision-making.
- Ensuring the effective management of working capital.
- Analysing business operations, contractual commitments, and projects from a financial perspective.
- Preparing budgets in collaboration with the local team and central management, and monitoring actual results against budgeted targets.
- Evaluating credit limits to ensure appropriate authorization at both local and central levels in accordance with the company's credit policy.
- Managing reporting activities in line with company requirements and ensuring compliance of business processes with statutory and tax regulations.
- Analysing reports to identify key variances compared to the previous year and budget plans, and ensuring effective business reporting to support follow-up actions.
- Leading, mentoring, and coaching a small team of finance professionals.
- Overseeing holding company functions, including statutory financial reporting, audits, group reporting, tax filings, tax-related projects, legal structure management, cash pool management, compliance, company secretariat activities, and coordination of corporate policies.
- Serving as the key representative of the local controlling community.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
- Min. 5 years of experience in controlling in international environment or equivalent
- Accounting and reporting background is highly preferable
- Audit background is an asset
- Solid understanding of financial processes, P&L, balance sheet and local accounting (GAAP) as well as IFRS
- Advanced level of excel knowledge is required, quick & well adaptable to new software is expected
- Knowledge and experience working with SAP
- Solid understanding of accounting principles for financial analysis purposes
- Excellent understanding of local tax and legal regulations
- Strong leadership capabilities incl. people leadership skills & experience
- Business and commercial minded and operative approach
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in English & Czech
