About the role:
Our Electrification & Innovation (E&I) business empowers Australians to transition to a cleaner energy future. As an end-to-end electrification provider, we develop sustainable, scalable products at pace, continuously enhancing our offerings to deliver maximum value. We also invest in new concepts, transforming innovative ideas into products that could reshape how Australians live for generations.
The Senior Commercial Analyst will play a key role in driving commercial insights and performance improvements across the E&I product portfolio. Working closely with the Head of Value Streams and product leadership, you will analyse key commercial levers, ensure product viability, and execute projects to enhance financial performance.
Additionally, you will partner with the Commercial Manager, to support commercial modelling, pricing, key metric analysis, negotiations, and business cases. They also contribute to M&A activities alongside the Commercial Manager and AGL’s corporate team.
What you’ll be doing:
Execution & Commercial Delivery – Lead business cases, M&A business due diligence, and financial assessments for key initiatives.
Commercial Strategy Development – Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and drive product performance.
Financial Modelling & Business Cases – Develop models, conduct scenario analysis, and present recommendations to leadership.
Product & Market Analysis – Assess competitors, pricing, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
Negotiations & Legal Alignment – Support commercial negotiations and ensure agreements align with AGL’s objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner with product, sales, marketing, and legal teams to drive strategic outcomes.
About you:
Previous demonstrated experience in commercial roles with a focus on delivering data-driven solutions across various commercial deliverables including business cases and due diligence reports.
Ability to navigate high-profile commercial negotiations, with a proven track record of securing favourable outcomes in complex business environments.
Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis tools and techniques, commercial modelling etc.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing commercialization strategies in competitive markets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence collaborative effectively at all organisational levels.
