Summary:

To sell new commercial vehicles at a profit to the dealership, while ensuring customer satisfaction.  To work with specialized customers, businesses, buying services, and leasing companies to sell fleet and commercial vehicles. Preferred experience is 3+ years of dealership auto sales experience. Experience in business-to-business sales is desired. Desired candidate is meticulously organized, performance-driven, proactive, and internally motivated.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sells new and fleet vehicles
  • Completes paperwork accompanying new vehicle sales
  • Maintains CSI at or above company standards
  • Answers questions about the vehicle
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of vehicle prices, models, series, options and variations
  • Meets dealership sales goals
  • Engages in business development
  • Addresses customers’ concerns
  • Takes customer on demonstration of vehicle in accordance with dealership procedures

Education/Experience:

Prior sales experience preferred.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employee.  

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations. 

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed throughout the dealership, both indoors and outdoors and on customer test drives. Due to the nature of the position, Salesperson may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a variety of tasks. Work includes frequent movement around the dealership facilities and the outdoor car lot to interact with customers and other departments.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.
