About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commerce Principal Consultant to lead the design and delivery of enterprise commerce solutions within our Digital Experience Platform (DXP) practice.

This role is suited for a hands-on technical leader who combines strong Adobe Commerce architecture expertise, delivery leadership, and development capability. The successful candidate will lead eCommerce implementations, mentor developers, and help shape modern commerce solutions leveraging AI-accelerated and agentic development practices. The role will contribute across the full lifecycle of engagements — solution design, delivery leadership, hands-on technical guidance, and pre-sales consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design scalable Adobe Commerce (Magento) and / or solutions for enterprise B2B and B2C commerce platforms.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Adobe Commerce implementations acting as architect and hands-on technical lead.
  • Define integration architecture across commerce ecosystems including CMS, ERP, CRM, payment gateways, search, and marketing platforms.
  • Design headless and composable commerce architectures using APIs and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Contribute hands-on to complex development, custom modules, and integrations within Adobe commerce platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, and code review across commerce projects.
  • Apply Adobe Commerce best practices for performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Provide solution design, delivery estimates, and technical approach definition during project planning and pre-sales engagements.
  • Lead developers in adopting AI-accelerated and agentic development practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding commerce architecture and platform strategy.
  • Support pre-sales activities including discovery workshops, technical demonstrations, and solution proposals.
  • A continuous learner who stays up to date with evolving commerce technologies, AI-driven development practices, and market trends.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years’ experience delivering digital commerce solutions.
  • Strong expertise in Adobe Commerce (Magento) architecture and development.
  • Proven experience leading delivery of Adobe commerce implementations in architect or technical lead roles.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with Adobe Commerce including custom modules and integrations.
  • Experience designing headless or composable commerce architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of commerce integrations including payment gateways, ERP, CRM, and order management systems.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience preparing solution designs, architecture documentation, and delivery estimates.
  • Experience leading and mentoring developers.
  • Regularly uses AI-assisted development tools and stays continuously up to date with the latest practices, tools, and innovations in AI-driven and agentic development.
  • Strong consulting and client communication skills for discovery, technical advisory engagements.

Good to Have Skills

  • Experience with agentic commerce and other modern commerce platforms such as commerce tools or similar composable commerce solutions.
  • Experience working with the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and headless content integrations.
  • Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) for customer journey orchestration.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics (AA) and Adobe Target (AT) for personalization and experimentation.
  • Exposure to Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (CDP) for unified customer profiles and segmentation.
  • Experience integrating commerce with marketing automation and personalization platforms.
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend technology stacks used in headless commerce (React, Next.js, Vue, composable storefronts).
  • Experience working with enterprise search platforms (such as Coveo, Elastic Search, Algolia).
