What you’ll do

Reporting to the Colony Sales Manager, West Region, the Colony Feed Sales Representative will lead the continued development of the business across Alberta by partnering closely with Colony customers. This role focuses on poultry and swine, driving sales growth by building trusted relationships, identifying customer needs through farm visits and data analysis, and promoting feed solutions and technologies. You will be responsible for achieving regional sales targets, executing business development strategies, monitoring market trends and competitor activity, and ensuring excellent customer service through timely communication and collaboration with Customer Service and Feed Mill teams.

We are looking for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced agricultural environment. You bring strong business acumen, a passion for supporting producers, and the ability to build long-term partnerships with Colony customers. You are highly organized, results-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while delivering on sales targets and customer expectations.

You’ll also need

  • Post-secondary degree in Agriculture, Business, or Economics (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous sales experience, preferably working with Colonies
  • Strong relationship-building and prospecting skills
  • Ability to analyze agricultural data and identify customer needs
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Willingness to travel as required with a valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals and overcome obstacles
  • Passion for agriculture and delivering value to customer
