Job Summary
As a Collateral Services Specialist IV within our team, you manage and process collateral for a diverse portfolio of loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards. You play a key role in solving non-routine problems and improving processes, directly contributing to the success of our firm. You work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Your attention to detail and analytical skills help maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will support the Borrower-in-Custody program, expand due diligence for loan eligibility, and ensure regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities include reviewing loan packages, capturing metadata, and partnering with market teams to resolve documentation exceptions. This role offers exposure to innovative technologies and continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing both your professional growth and the team's operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and process collateral for a diverse portfolio of loans, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Review and analyze loan agreements and field exams, solving non-routine issues and supporting process improvements.
  • Capture and interpret metadata from key legal agreements for analysis, reporting, and compliance with service level agreements.
  • Review pre-closing and post-closing documents from scanned images to ensure documentation standards and support collateral structure.
  • Support the Borrower-in-Custody program, expanding due diligence for loan eligibility and increasing pledge pool value.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve documentation exceptions with market and external partners, maintaining productive relationships.
  • Enter and update collateral information in applicable systems and index documents for archival in the image repository.
  • Review loan packages for regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Participate in partnership meetings, projects, and working groups to resolve operational errors and drive continuous improvement.
  • Respond to research requests and provide continuous improvement ideas for the review process.
  • Exercise judgment, discretion, and prioritization in daily tasks, meeting or exceeding established Service Level Agreements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Expertise in managing and processing collateral for loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lending standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of lending services policies and procedures, supporting effective decision-making and operational excellence.
  • Proficient in reviewing and interpreting legal documents to meet specific requirements and service level agreements.
  • Experience capturing and managing metadata from legal agreements for analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to review loan packages for regulatory and compliance adherence.
  • Proven capability in relationship management and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills to optimize workload and achieve objectives.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving documentation exceptions with internal and external partners.
  • Experience supporting due diligence and eligibility review for loan pledging programs.
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional projects and working groups, driving operational improvements.
  • Demonstrated judgment, discretion, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work schedules will be full-time in office, on a 40-hour per week schedule.
