The team
The Center of Excellence at Hitachi Vantara is a worldwide entity that serves as a platform for presenting our products and solutions to customers and partners. These engagements involve demonstrations, proof of concepts, lab facilities, and video content. Our team collaborates closely with sales, technical sales, and product management, facilitating the exchange of insights into customer trends, experiences, and requirements to enhance the alignment of our products and solutions.
In this role you will be instrumental in driving the deployment and optimization of our cutting-edge AI and GenAI infrastructure and solutions.
Responsibilities
- An ability to think creatively and work consistently to identify, develop and close opportunities within new or prospective customers and you’ll be able to share specific examples to illustrate where and how you have done this.
- An ability to build virtual teams around you to create and deliver innovative solutions.
- Host customer and partner demonstrations to showcase Hitachi product features, capabilities, and performance. Effectively communicate the value and benefits of our solutions.
- Maintain and support internal solution portfolios' hardware requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware availability and compatibility.
- Create and collaborate on internal and external video content, such as product demonstrations, feature, and functionality materials, to enhance product awareness and enable effective knowledge sharing.
- Operate and collaborate within a high-performance team, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and best practices.
- Design, deploy, and manage AI infrastructure using Nvidia, SuperMicro, and Nvidia AI Enterprise Software and networking solutions.
- Implement and maintain Hitachi Object Storage and manage a shared WekaIO filesystem on SuperMicro platforms.
- Configure and administer Kubernetes clusters using Nvidia Base Command Manager for orchestration of containerized applications.
- Develop and execute comprehensive benchmarks and Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) to validate system performance and reliability.
- Represent the company as a subject matter expert at public and industry events such as AWS re: Invent, Cisco Live, and VMExplore, delivering presentations and demonstrations to a technical audience.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience with High Computing platforms like Nvidia DGX and SuperMicro HGX servers, and familiarity with Nvidia & Mellanox networking technologies.
- Strong background in managing and configuring enterprise-scale storage solutions, specifically Hitachi Object Storage and WekaIO filesystems.
- Expertise in Modern Application Cluster like Kubernetes, OpenShift and Rancher cluster management and orchestration, preferably with experience using Nvidia Base Command Manager.
- At least 8 years’ experience in Hitachi solutions, such as Hitachi Block, File, Object, Converged, Hyper Converged, and Hybrid Cloud technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Virtualization/VMware, Containers, Business Continuity, Data Protection, SAN, LAN/WAN Concepts and Architectures desired.
- Personable, Persuasive and Articulate – Able to represent Hitachi Vantara positively to customers and partners, build positive relationships of influence, and ability to communicate well (written and verbally)
- Assertive self-starter with the ability to manage work in a dynamic and competitive environment to drive demand for CoE utilization and value add.
