Job Summary & Responsibilities
The CNC Technician is responsible for creation of programs for CNC equipment.
- Investigates and recommends changes to shop floor production processes involving CNC equipment.
- Follow engineering specifications.
- Coach machine operators in the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Serve as a liaison with maintenance, engineering, support staff and operators to ensure equipment is best utilized.
- Document necessary information.
- Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized.
- Recommend/approve/make changes to improve efficiencies and equipment utilization.
- Identify training opportunities within the team and set actions for improvement.
- Able to use required CAD systems (AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, Solid Edge)
- Ability to use manual wood working machinery (table/band saw, router, drills, sanders, etc)
Experience
- Two years CAD/CAM experience preferred
- One year 3D modeling experience preferred
