Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machine tools, including lathes and milling machines, to produce parts according to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAM files, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Perform dimensional and attribute inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and go/no-go gauges
  • Conduct first article inspections and adjust machining processes to maintain required tolerances
  • Troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production and quality concerns
  • Participate in all required meetings, training, and development activities
  • Ability to communicate, including the ability to read, write, and speak English and promptly follow verbal and written directions in English
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to safely work in a manufacturing/shop environment with exposure to moving machinery and metal materials
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of CNC machining experience required
  • Experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines preferred
  • Basic knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and quality inspection methods

Additional Details:

This position operates in a manufacturing environment and may require extended periods of standing, lifting, bending, and working around moving equipment. The CNC Machinist II must maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and production efficiency while meeting operational deadlines.
