Job Summary:
The CNC Assistant (Off Loader) supports the fabric cutting operation by removing, sorting, inspecting, counting, and organizing cut fabric parts. This position works closely with the Lectra Operator and Lay-Up personnel to maintain production flow, quality, and accuracy.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Remove cut fabric parts from the Lectra machine and separate usable pieces from scrap.
- Sort and organize multiple layers of cut fabric according to patterns and production requirements.
- Number and mark parts accurately using a crayon, pattern, or other approved method.
- Inspect parts for accuracy, proper cuts, and adherence to patterns.
- Count and stack parts to ensure accuracy, uniformity, and proper job identification.
- Read and understand production tickets, cover labels, and patterns.
- Identify and report missing, defective, or incorrectly cut parts.
- Assist the Lectra Operator and Lay-Up personnel as needed.
- Remove fabric waste and debris from the machine and dispose of it properly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned. All other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities for Consideration as a Candidate:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and understand tickets, labels, and patterns.
- Ability to count, sort, and organize materials accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous manufacturing, textile, upholstery, or fabric-cutting experience preferred but not required.
