MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
- Ensure tax compliance across Middle East and Africa operations.
- Ensure timely filing of all tax declarations, returns and statutory submissions.
- Liaise with stakeholders across Business, Finance, IT, Regional Tax and HQ teams.
- Provide tax advice and support to the Middle East and African business.
- Manage relations with tax authorities, auditors and external advisors.
- Support tax governance, risk management, e-invoicing and compliance initiatives.
- Prepare, review and submit tax returns, declarations and statutory filings.
- Manage tax audits, inspections and regulatory inquiries (internal & external).
- Ensure compliance with VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax and applicable local tax regulations.
- Provide tax advice to Finance, Sales, Marketing, Service, Logistics and Operations teams.
- Review commercial arrangements, pricing, rebates, commissions and cross-border transactions from a tax perspective.
- Provide training to the business on tax compliance requirements.
- Provide support to IT and Finance teams for VAT, tax engine and e-invoicing set-up.
- Support ERP, automation and process improvement initiatives relating to tax compliance.
- Monitor tax legislation changes and assess business impact.
- Maintain tax documentation, controls and audit readiness.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in tax (advisory, Big Four and/or multinational environment).
- Strong and proven experience in VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax and tax compliance.
- Experience managing tax audits and dealing with tax authorities.
- Experience with Orion (ERP) and/or OneSource is a benefit.
- Knowledge of IFRS, IAS and tax reporting requirements is preferred.
Finance, Accounting or Tax education at university level. Professional qualification is advantageous.
