Purpose of the Job:
Full responsibility for the end-to-end telecom business management within the cluster (airtime, data, devices, VAS, and distribution).
Direct line management of Territory Managers and Area Sales Executives.
Accompaniment and on-the-job development of TMs and ASEs to strengthen sales effectiveness and technical know-how.
Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
Lead weekly/monthly performance meetings with TMs/ASEs to set sales & service targets and ensure execution.
Assess and provide timely support/resources requested by subordinates to achieve targets.
Proactively communicate performance targets, achievements, and timelines.
Monitor and analyze KPIs of each TM/ASE (SIM activations, data penetration, vendor attendance, airtime utilization, churn rate, and device sales).
Ensure effective usage of established digital tools (CRM, HHT, Distributor Management Systems).
Produce actionable reports with corrective measures to achieve performance objectives.
Set and track personal development goals for team members, ensuring skills enhancement and career growth.
Conduct quarterly assessments of TMs & ASEs to drive performance improvements.
Organize specific programs such as market visits, trade checks, and weekly field reviews, reporting results to the Sales Director.
Monitor monthly results versus mid-month forecasts, ensuring timely corrective actions.
Manage and control cluster overhead costs, correcting deviations when necessary.
Support quarterly stock-taking, ensuring accurate reconciliation, safe storage, and handling of devices, SIM cards, and recharge products.
Proven leadership to influence business decisions and ability to attract, develop, and retain high performers.
Strong understanding of the telecommunications market landscape.
Experience in rolling out go-to-market and distribution strategies.
Strong commercial acumen with telecom sales and marketing expertise.
Excellent team management, people development, and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to deliver breakthrough results in a competitive telecom market.
Solid experience in telecom trade/retail distribution, agent management, and customer engagement.
Develop and manage efficient assessment tools for Key Distributors, Strategic Agents, and Sub Agents.
Drive revenue growth through increased airtime, data, SIM activations, and device penetration.
Achieve assigned sales and service targets for the cluster.
Monitor and drive trade receivables to minimize outstanding balances.
Ensure execution of sales plans through team and market performance assessments, correcting deviations to align with commercial strategy.
Implement innovative initiatives to capture untapped market opportunities (including digital/online channels).
Identify growth opportunities within the cluster and execute with speed, scale, and precision.
Ensure effective implementation of the Route-to-Market (RTM) model.
Select, onboard, and manage telecom distributors and agents to maximize coverage and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 5–8 years of strong commercial experience in telecom sales & distribution, with proven results in driving revenue and customer growth.
- Experience managing distributors, agents, and large customer accounts in the telecom sector.
- Deep understanding of telecom sales principles (airtime/data growth, SIM penetration, device distribution, churn management).
- Resident of designated cluster is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of cluster market dynamics and consumer behavior.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and telecom CRM/sales platforms.
