SUMMARY:
The role will implement, and execute HR programs and practices, collaborating with stakeholders, meeting service deliverables and quality, and ensuring team adherence to all KPI’s, SLAs, Compliance, Legal, Human Rights, and Labor requirements. The role will cover India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This position will report to the HR Director Asia Pacific (to be appointed). In the interim it will report into the Sr. HRBP for Asia Pacific.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures the teams are applying HR policies and employee programs fairly, consistently, and in accordance with company core values, mission, and labor laws. Policies, programs and processes may include Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Retention, HR audits, and HR administrative tasks per global, regional, or local requirements.
Assists with evaluation of business requirements and works in collaboration with Strategic HR Business Partners of the Businesses and Center of Excellence teams to ensure communication, implementation, and support of any fully approved programs or processes are done effectively. Ensures team provides appropriate service of such programs and processes and has appropriate feedback mechanisms.
Ensures quality of problem/resolution responses and investigations to safeguard the uniform and equitable treatment of employees.
Where required, supports the application of union contract requirements and may participate in the negotiation process.
Partakes in or directs the appeals process.
Uses data tools and people related metrics to diagnose and identify trends and develop proactive steps to avoid recurring issues. This includes the team usage of case management and documentation measures.
Stays current on employment and labor practices and ensures adherence.
Responsible for team management including performance, hiring, retention, staffing levels, performance appraisals, coaching and development opportunities.
Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments, and can manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
Leads implementation of the new HR model in the country, championing change with managers and employees – including setting up global SOPs, service level agreements, new systems and processes as per global standards (driving manager self service and employee self service)
Champion’s company values, behavior and compliance standards & policies of the company & is a key custodian of the company culture.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
• Human resources professional degree
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• 15-18 years of experience including leading team.
• Demonstrated ability to be an agent of change. Must be able to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
• Is resilient and can navigate challenging or difficult situations with the ability to hold crucial conversations.
• Collaborates at all levels through listening, sharing, and building upon ideas, challenging others’ ideas respectfully, compromises and adapts in order to achieve common goals that are the best interests of the organization and the teams involved.
• Competence in software applications relating to human resources such as case management systems and Workday is preferred along with the suite of Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills - both written and verbal including English.
• Can work independently and can manage multiple and competing priorities.
• Has strong business acumen in addition to Human Resources skills.
• Has an unquestionable commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and privacy.
• Healthcare experience a plus.
