Scrum Master with Tech project management
Exp: 10+ Years
Level: SC II
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager with Scrum Master expertise to lead and deliver complex projects across both Waterfall and Agile environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong project governance capabilities, hands-on Agile delivery experience, and the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams while driving successful business outcomes.
This role requires a professional who can seamlessly balance traditional project management methodologies with Agile practices, ensuring efficient planning, execution, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end project delivery including change and transformation, large scale integration and development projects across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, risks, and resource plans.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, project charter, status reports, RAID logs, and governance documentation.
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, leadership teams, vendors, and technical teams.
- Technical expertise is not required however the person must be familiar with the tech stack used in programs and must be able to explain why it was used.
- Must understand the high level architecture and understand how the data or functionality flows upstream and downstream.
Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Act as Scrum Master for Agile teams and facilitate Agile adoption across the organization.
- Drive and facilitate all Agile ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Sprint Reviews
- Sprint Retrospectives
- Backlog Grooming / Refinement
- Release Planning
- Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum framework, and continuous improvement practices.
- Remove impediments and enable teams to achieve sprint commitments effectively.
- Foster a collaborative, self-organizing, and high-performing team culture.
- Track Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, sprint health, and delivery KPIs.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Manage cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA teams, architects, and vendors.
- Facilitate alignment between business goals and technology delivery.
- Drive decision-making and conflict resolution across teams.
Process Improvement
- Promote Agile best practices and process standardization.
- Identify opportunities for delivery optimization and operational efficiency.
- Support organizational Agile transformation initiatives where applicable.

- Hands-on Agile delivery and Scrum Master experience (facilitating ceremonies, coaching teams)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills for senior leadership engagement
- Experience with project governance: project charters, RAID logs, status reporting, budgets and timelines
- Risk, dependency, and issue management experience
- Ability to define scope, resource plans, and ensure delivery within scope, budget and quality
- Familiarity with technology stacks and high-level architecture and data/function flow
- Experience tracking Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, sprint health) and delivery KPIs
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Trello
- Team leadership, conflict resolution, and coaching capabilities
- Change management and delivery governance experience
