Cloud Solutions Team Lead

Our cloud solutions are enablers of the digital transformation for business and our normal life. One of the enabling technologies for the digital transformation is cloud computing, this will enable a completely other way of working for the business.

To support this, NXP-IT formed a Cloud Center of Excellence (Cloud CoE) reporting directly into the CIO. The Cloud CoE’s goal is to enable accelerated and sustainable adoption of cloud across the enterprise (both business and IT) - maximizing the ability to realize its benefits while reducing risk. This team is recognized as the industry leading Cloud Center of Excellence for the high-tech industry.

The Cloud CoE is responsible for defining Strategy and policy for cloud computing, driving, and implementing cloud services and platforms, running proof of concepts, piloting emerging cloud technologies (e.g. GenAI, Machine Learning) and supporting business-initiatives in adapting cloud technologies (including organizational change).

Your Responsibilities  

• Lead the team of 4-5 FTEs to oversee the designs and implementations, maintain secure, compliant, cost-effective, and fully automated cloud solutions to enable a smooth and secure way for business and IT teams to develop and deploy cloud-based services.

• Lead the development to ensure that the cloud platform solutions support the variety of solutions/systems by having all enablers/features in place.

• Collaborate with stakeholders (business, enterprise architects, solution architects, and engineers) to understand and break-down business goals into technical requirements, functional/non-functional requirements, and desired features.

• Provide leadership to Data DevOps teams in implementing cloud data solutions, in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

• Be responsible for the quality of the automation processes and systems used in the Cloud CoE by driving continuous improvements.

• Design and implement processes and tooling to monitor, improve and optimize the operational, security and performance health status of cloud products and services. Apply techniques of continuous verification & delivery to ensure the quality of our products and services.

• Actively participate in communities / forums / guilds on cloud computing and data solutions (e.g. Generative AI, Machine learning) (both external and internal to NXP).

Your profile

• Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering.

• Approximately 7 years proven track record in designing, executing and supporting IT cloud solutions with the experience or ambition to lead a team of 4-5 FTEs.

• Experience of translating business requirements into solid technical solutions.

• Proven experience in software engineering techniques, cloud-native architecture and supporting tooling.

• Prior experience in working on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar) and microservice-architecture oriented solutions is a definite plus.

• Knowledge of the DevOps culture and principles.

• Up to date and proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and supportive tooling.

• Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats, current best practices, and latest software.
