The Solutions Architect holistically leads and supports the development and management of a portfolio of solutions in adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards and guidelines. Solutions include projects, products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services.
Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesServe as visionary and strategist for solution product areas associated with Azure. Provides consultation to application owners, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range architecture solutions to meet business objectives.
Recommends solutions and develops business case alternatives that anticipate the future direction of the business, business drivers and technology strategy in context of cloud solutions
Aligns new solutions to the current architectural principles regarding standards and integration in the organization.
Lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives (e.g., App Gateway V1→V2, Azure SQL, Fabric), ensuring scalable, cost‑effective, and reusable solution designs.
Partnering with other IT teams to define and govern cloud networking strategy, including Private Endpoints, DNS patterns, and segmentation models.
Drive architecture governance, roadmaps, platform standards, guardrails, and futurization workshops, incorporating Microsoft best practices and reference architectures.
Produce high‑quality reference architectures and Lucid diagrams that translate requirements into clear, actionable designs.
Balance the functional and nonfunctional requirements with necessary compromises while maintaining project scope.
Mentor and guide less experienced associates, while owning and strengthening the technical relationship with Microsoft
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study
5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience, Azure preferred
Must have experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development
Insurance knowledge a plus

Experience with the entire Software Development Lifecycle from Analysis to Deployment of Software/Apps.
Experience working with various technology stacks across frontend and backend including databases.
Knowledge of various aspects of an enterprise technology architecture like business, information, data, network and security.
Contributor towards information technology principles and processes definition and implementation.
Knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Knowledge and understanding of different scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc)
Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls.
Excellent understanding of application development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture.
Understanding and knowledge of Business domain.
Experience analyzing and resolving moderately complex, cross-system issues.
Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with developers in an in-and-out outsourced environment.
