What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (L3), you are tasked with architecting, deploying, and managing Zafin's state-of-the-art SaaS solutions across public cloud ecosystems. With 7-10 years of experience in the trenches of software development and cloud engineering, you'll leverage your expertise to keep us at the cutting edge of cloud services, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency. Your leadership will not only enhance our cloud capabilities but also mentor a team poised for innovation and excellence in cloud solutions.
Location: India - Trivandrum
What will you do?
- Design and implement advanced cloud solutions on platforms such as Azure, leveraging Kubernetes for orchestration and Docker for containerization to ensure robust, scalable services.
- Utilize ArgoCD for continuous delivery, ensuring seamless, automated deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
- Lead the development of sophisticated automation frameworks and pipelines using industry-leading CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket, enhancing efficiency and reliability across the software development lifecycle.
- Drive best practices in cloud security, performance monitoring, and system optimization, utilizing tools and methodologies to maintain high availability and disaster recovery standards.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex troubleshooting and resolution of system and application issues, mentoring team members in problem-solving techniques.
- Champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and Ansible, streamlining infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Facilitate collaboration across engineering and operations teams, advocating for DevOps culture and practices to improve deployment frequency and reduce lead time for changes.
- Lead technical reviews, architectural discussions, and strategic planning sessions, ensuring alignment with the latest industry trends and technologies.
What do I need to succeed?
Must have:
- A solid educational foundation in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, backed by 5-10 years of experience in software development and cloud engineering roles.
- Expertise in Kubernetes and Docker, with a proven track record of designing and deploying containerized applications at scale.
- Proficiency with ArgoCD for implementing GitOps workflows and managing deployments across multiple environments.
- Deep experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and similar tools to automate testing, build, and deployment processes.
- Strong background in IaC using Terraform and Ansible for efficient and reproducible infrastructure management.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration, networking, security practices, and cloud platforms (with a focus on Azure).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills, capable of guiding teams through complex projects and challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a passion for mentoring and driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Nice to have:
- Leadership experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering team, with a history of successful project delivery and innovation.
- Familiarity with financial services or large enterprise IT environments, understanding their unique requirements and challenges.
