The IT Production Engineering team is hiring three hands-on engineers to build, transition, and operate the multi-cloud production platform that supports GPO products.
The GPO team leads target architecture and platform planning. Our team works with GPO during design, brings production and operational requirements into those decisions, implements the agreed architecture, and runs the resulting platform. This is not a design-only or operations-only position. You will work across infrastructure engineering, GitOps delivery, reliability, troubleshooting, and production improvement.
Our near-term work includes understanding an existing brownfield estate, building the target platform through infrastructure as code and GitOps, and transitioning production services safely. After the transition, the team will continue to own and improve the platform.
We are hiring through one common role profile. We do not expect any candidate to arrive with deep experience in every cloud and tool listed below. We are looking for strong fundamentals, practical depth in at least one relevant area, sound production judgment, and the ability to learn.
Requirements
Strong experience with Linux, networking, and distributed systems.
Hands-on expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerized platforms.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible.
Knowledge of GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
Proficiency in scripting or automation using Python, Go, or Shell.
Experience with Git, code reviews, change management, and production support.
Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting or managing MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Professional-level English communication skills.
Multi-cloud experience (Azure + AWS + GCP).
Experience with SRE practices, observability, disaster recovery, and cloud cost optimization.
Exposure to Kafka, Redis, security/identity solutions, and enterprise cloud platforms.
Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure-as-Code certifications.
For Lead roles: experience owning production Kubernetes platforms and leading major incidents and migrations.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Manage and optimize Kubernetes environments (AKS, EKS, GKE), including networking, identity, upgrades, scalability, and disaster recovery.
Develop and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and CI/CD solutions to enable automated and reliable deployments.
Lead platform migrations, production changes, and release activities with proper validation and rollback plans.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across cloud platforms, Kubernetes, networking, databases, and shared services.
Implement and maintain observability, security controls, backup, disaster recovery, and operational best practices.
Automate operational processes and continuously improve platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with architects, security teams, and product teams to deliver scalable and secure platform solutions.
Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided.
Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings with your direct manager and/or direct reports.
