As a Cloud OpenShift Engineer, you’ll take the lead on designing intuitive, self-service database products that make all the difference to our customers, as well as our strategic targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in a highly innovative and supportive environment.
You’ll collaborate with product owners to create roadmaps and manage the lifecycle, taking customer feedback, new feature requests and production issues into consideration. As you continue to manage the selection, creation and maintenance of database-related technologies, you’ll ensure that our solutions comply with the bank’s requirements and responsibilities.
You’ll also:
- Identify new ways to solve problems and enhance performance using tech tools
- Provide operational support for pattern or product-related issues, and contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions
- Build awareness of design-thinking tools and techniques across the bank to improve products
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure that we continue to deliver the best possible service
To thrive in this role, you’ll have experience in software development or automation scripting, such as Python or Shell. You’ll be knowledgeable about the software development lifecycle, with experience of utilising modern infrastructure as code via tooling.
We’ll expect you to bring a good understanding of Agile working practices and toolsets, with the ability to create the vision for the Release Train, feature team, platform and domain.
In addition, you’ll have:
- Experience in leading the design, engineering, automation, and lifecycle management of enterprise Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift platforms to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions for business-critical workloads
- Experience in building, deploying, and supporting containerized applications using cloud-native and DevOps practices, with hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, GitLab, and CI/CD pipeline automation
- Provide expertise in OpenShift ecosystem technologies including ACM, ACS, ODF, networking, service mesh, ingress, routes, load balancing, and application exposure patterns
- Collaborate within Agile, cross-functional teams to deliver strategic platform outcomes, champion DevOps culture, and support customers in adopting modern cloud-native technologies
- Strong collaborative and communication skills, and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
