Design Networks: Build secure and scalable virtual networks, subnets, and routing tables.
Manage Connectivity: Configure virtual private networks (VPNs), direct connections, and load balancers.
Enforce Security: Set up firewalls, access control lists, and encryption policies.
Automate Infrastructure: Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to deploy network resources.
Monitor Performance: Track network traffic, troubleshoot uptime issues, and resolve connectivity errors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Cloud Knowledge: Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Networking Basics: Strong grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and routing protocols.
Security Tools: Experience with cloud firewalls, identity management, and security groups.
Scripting: Basic coding skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience: Usually requires 3 to 5 years of general IT or network engineering experience.
Cloud Network Engineer must have a minimum of five (5) years of networking experience, with at least three (3) years specialized in Cloud Networking.
Cloud Network Engineer must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience managing Virtual Private Clouds (VPC/VNET), Subnets, VPNs, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute.
Cloud Network Engineer must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with Load Balancers, and content Delivery Networks (CON).
