About this opportunity:
The Integration Engineer ensures high-quality, first-time-right delivery of Ericsson cloud infrastructure solutions for CN Cloud & Common customers. The role covers requirements analysis, configuration, implementation, validation and integration of Ericsson NFVI and Cloud Native Infrastructure (CNIS), including deployments, upgrades, migrations, expansions and related network/application functions.
The role follows Ericsson processes, group directives, E+OHS, information security and contractual requirements, ensuring smooth handover to operations and customer teams.
Key responsibilities
- Execute deployments, upgrades, migrations and expansions for Ericsson Cloud Infrastructure according to approved design documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during deployment, integration and acceptance phases.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders and cross-functional teams to integrate VNFs/CNFs, OSS/BSS and orchestration components.
- Review customer requirements and design documentation, contributing to estimates, planning and delivery preparation.
- Execute testing and acceptance activities and maintain key technical documentation, including LLD, ATP and MOP.
- Act as technical interface with customers and Product Development Units, using tools such as JIRA and Salesforce to address product issues.
- Drive improvements in methods, tools, automation and ways of working, sharing lessons learned with peers and junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with Ericsson processes, legal/financial directives, E+OHS, data security and privacy requirements. Availability for short business trips and overnight work may be required.
Required skills:
- Experience with Ericsson NFVI/CNIS or similar OpenStack, Kubernetes, virtualization or cloud-native platforms.
- Strong knowledge of distributed cloud architectures, virtualization, container orchestration, software-defined networking/storage and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with CNFs/VNFs and understanding of telecom network architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in cross-functional, multi-country teams.
- Proactive mindset, able to manage complex tasks independently and improve tools, automation and delivery practices.
- Preferred technologies and vendors include:
- Ericsson NFVI/CNIS, Kubernetes and OpenStack platforms.
- SDI/SDS, Ceph or equivalent compute, storage and networking solutions; HP/Dell hardware ecosystem.
- IP networking, control/data plane architecture, data center fabric, switching and Kubernetes CNI concepts; Extreme SLX/EFA, Juniper or Cisco DC equipment.
- Linux administration and troubleshooting on Ubuntu, RHEL, SUSE or CentOS.
- Python/Bash scripting for automation, configuration and troubleshooting.
Skills Required
