Cost Optimization: Analyze daily usage and drive right-sizing or waste reduction.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Build financial models and track budget variances.
Governance & Tagging: Enforce resource naming and tagging standards for accurate cost allocation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, finance, and leadership to build a culture of financial accountability.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Accounting, or Business.
Experience: 3 to 7+ years in IT financial management, financial analysis, or cloud operations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP pricing models, plus tools like Apptio Cloudability, CloudZero, or Power BI.
Certifications: FinOps Certified Practitioner preferred
Cloud FinOps Specialist must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in cloud cost management and optimization (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or third-party tools like CloudHealth).
Cloud FinOps Specialist must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing cloud usage analysis, Reserved Instance (RI) / Savings Plan management, and right-sizing recommendations.
Cloud FinOps Specialist must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience creating financial dashboards and reporting for executive leadership.
Cloud FinOps Specialist should have strong analytical skills to correlate cloud usage data with business value.
