Job DescriptionThe Cloud Engineer Intern will work under the Manager, Cloud Security and join our DevSecOps team. You will gain hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure and supporting automation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Help monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats and anomalies.
- Support the configuration and operation of basic cloud security tools (e.g., WAF, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners).
- Help analyze application and infrastructure logs to identify suspicious activity.
- Participate in routine security audits and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement secure configurations in AWS environments.
- Contribute to documentation of security procedures and incident response strategies.
- Learn and apply scripting skills (e.g., Python) to automate security tasks.
- Shadow team members during incident response exercises and sprint planning sessions.
- Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's program in CS, Cybersecurity or related field
- Return to school in Fall 2026 to complete degree
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Interest in cybersecurity and DevOps practices.
