What You Will Do Daily:
- Work in sprints with other engineers (Clod Engineers,, SREs, and other specialists) as part of a cross-functional team to deliver new features into production.
- Develop and operate cloud solutions on AWS with a rigorous focus on automation, high performance, and scalability.
- Take part in the definition of novel cloud solution designs, particularly for mission-critical shared services and control plane operations.
- Design and execute Disaster Recovery strategies, including cross-region failover and "game day" drills to minimize RTO and RPO.
- Implement cost optimization strategies through reserved instances, spot orchestration, and automated rightsizing to ensure infrastructure scales elastically.
- Govern the foundational cloud hierarchy, including account provisioning, organizational units (OUs), and IAM.
- Work in agile sprints to provide Site Reliability Engineering expertise to value stream squads, optimizing performance and SLO/SLI dashboards.
The Experience You Will Need:
- 5+ years of experience architecting and operating global, high-scale cloud solutions on AWS.
- Advanced proficiency with AWS CDK (preferred) or CloudFormation to build reusable "Golden Paths".
- In-depth knowledge of AWS networking and core services including ECS, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFront.
- Experience implementing standardized logging, metrics, and distributed tracing (e.g., using CloudWatch or third-party equivalents).
- Proven track record in designing disaster recovery strategies, cross-region failover, and managing production environment operations.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C# or similar.
- Experience with at least one scripting language such as Bash or similar.
- Strong DevOps background with experience working in agile, cross-functional sprint teams.
- Taking initiative and having the ability to lead a subject from beginning to end.
- Open-minded and very positive can-do attitude.
- Comfortable in dealing with change and complexity.
- Self-confident enough to challenge the status quo as well as to give and receive feedback.
- Team player but has the ability to work alone.
- Enjoy exploring and learning new technologies.
