We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on JavaScript development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable cloud applications. You will leverage your deep understanding of cloud compute services, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud application connectors to deliver high-quality solutions. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across various departments and your commitment to best practices will be crucial to your success. This role reports to the Cloud Engineer Lead.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Application Development and Deployment:
Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using JavaScript as the primary programming language.
Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
Integrate and manage cloud service connectors to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
Cloud Infrastructure and Operations:
Configure and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Implement and maintain comprehensive logging and monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Apply deep understanding of code debugging and troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex technical problems.
Adhere to programming and cloud deployment best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability.
Understand and implement Kubernetes when needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.
Collaborate with developers, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Clearly document all processes.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and infrastructure.
Jobholder Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
High proficiency in JavaScript programming.
Extensive experience with cloud services
Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines on cloud infrastructure.
Strong understanding of cloud service connectors.
Deep understanding of code debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
Comprehensive knowledge of logging and monitoring tools in the cloud.
Understanding of Kubernetes is a plus.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Certifications (Preferred):
Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Engineer.
