Job Overview:
- As a Cloud Engineer, you will be reporting to a Chapter Lead, and work closely with fellow Cloud Engineers both within PH and across other countries to design, implement, manage, and deliver solutions in the Public Cloud Domain.
- Cloud Engineers are part of the Cloud Engineering Chapter within the Retail Tech Department of ING Hubs PH. They work closely with DevOps, SRE, and DevSecOps of various teams to deliver a safe and compliant infrastructure for ING.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop applications and platforms features defined by the Product Owner

Build deployment pipelines for applications and platforms
-
Draft effective and applicable technical solutions that fit business needs and requirements
-
Investigate and assess technologies that can/will be used/implemented
-
Perform Proof-of-Concepts on technology proposals
-
For applications and platforms owned by the squad:
o Provide technical consultation on applications and platforms to other
Engineering teams
o Manage, maintain, update, and upgrade applications and platforms
o Implement security controls and policies required
o Join rotation of on-call engineers that support the applications and platforms

Analyze and troubleshoot incidents and resolve in a timely manner

Work with the Chapter Lead and fellow Cloud Engineers in prioritizing backlog and deliverables

Participate in risk assessments and mitigating activities as needed

Regularly attend meetings to discuss projects, issues, and ideas

Create and assist in the documentation of solutions

Contribute to the definition of technical standards and guidance for the team and chapter
-
Investigate and prototype new technologies and frameworks and make recommendations for their introduction into the developmental and operational environments
Key Capabilities/Experience:

Experience and knowledge of Cloud Services (Azure, GCP)

Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Experience in Automation and creating CICD Pipelines (Azure DevOps)
-
Experience in Source Code Version Control Systems (Git)
-
Experience in containerization and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
-
Experience in developing and maintaining applications and/or platforms

Experience working with Linux-based Operating Systems

Experience working in an Agile environment
Minimum Qualifications:

Strong understanding of basic Public Cloud concepts

Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD

Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Strong Foundation in Networking Fundamentals and Cloud Networking Concepts

Basic understanding of Cloud Security and Governance

Ability to think independently and contribute to the overall effort

Cultural Adaptability: Ability to work well within a Cross-Cultural team environment

Communication Skills: Cloud Engineers work with several engineering teams from
different parts of the globe and regularly present their work to multiple stakeholders

Ability to work well under pressure

Ability to be a self-starter and work in a fast-paced environment performing designing, writing, editing, modifying, and debugging code

Outstanding analytical skills

Innovative and creative skills: Cloud Engineers must have the desire to research and discover new technologies that can be applied to the Public Cloud
