Role Overview

MojoTech is seeking a Cloud / DevOps Engineer Consultant to support a cloud

consolidation and standardization effort. The consultant will work directly with infrastructure and application teams to migrate AWS environments, modernize platform capabilities, and implement operational best practices across the enterprise. The focus will be AWS migrations, Kubernetes operations, infrastructure automation, and helping bring existing cloud environments into alignment with established platform standards. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Support the migration of AWS accounts, applications, workloads, and cloud resources into standardized platform environments.
  • Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and automation-first operational practices.
  • Configure, manage, optimize, and troubleshoot Amazon EKS clusters, Kubernetes components, and core platform add-ons.
  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes applications using Argo CD and Helm.
  • Help migrate appropriate AWS Lambda workloads and scheduled jobs to Kubernetes-based services.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot GitLab runners.
  • Build and support the infrastructure required by application development teams.
  • Manage Kong Gateway and its supporting infrastructure.
  • Integrate security controls and DevSecOps practices into infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
  • Support SDLC governance and SOC 2 compliance requirements.

Must-Have Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience designing, administering, and troubleshooting production AWS environments.
  • Experience building secure, scalable, highly available AWS cloud architectures.
  • Advanced hands-on experience using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Practical experience troubleshooting AWS services, including EC2, EKS, IAM, VPCs, networking, and load balancers.
  • Strong Kubernetes operational experience, including:
  • Amazon EKS administration
  • Application deployment and troubleshooting
  • Cluster administration
  • Kubernetes networking and security
  • Core Kubernetes objects and platform components
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications using Argo CD and Helm.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of AWS IAM roles, policies, permission boundaries, trust relationships, and role-assumption patterns.
  • Working knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering, DevSecOps, cloud security, monitoring, and observability practices.
  • Experience supporting production-grade application infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • Ability to work within established enterprise architecture, security, networking, and engineering standards.

Preferred Experience

  • AWS or Kubernetes certifications.
  • Experience migrating AWS Lambda or other serverless workloads to Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Kong Gateway.
  • Familiarity with scheduled-job orchestration platforms such as Kestra.
  • Experience supporting SDLC governance and SOC 2 compliance controls.

Employment Structure

We hire employees in Argentina through Deel, our Employer of Record (EOR) partner. Deel serves as your legal employer for payroll, benefits administration, and local compliance purposes, while your day-to-day work, manager, performance reviews, career development, and team experience will be with MojoTech.

This is a full-time employee position, not a contractor role.
