Join the Mizuho team as a Cloud Data Architect!We are seeking a tech savvy individual to join our Cloud Data team in the role of Cloud Data Architect, to lead design and development of for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into cloud data for the IT-Data organization.Major Responsibilities:
- Provide architectural leadership for technology solutions, data architectures, data warehouse, cloud and infrastructure initiatives
- Design and develop high volume data ingestion components and ETL solutions to collect data from various internal and external sources
- Develop data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
- Recommend data governance processes, security standards, and models that will provide architectural guidelines to support the development initiatives
- Administer the overall data warehouse strategy, architectures and security, definition of data models, all data marts, evaluation of infrastructure components, software, performance and data applications design
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the cloud data infrastructure
- Innovate with latest cloud data technologies and trends
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Partnering with Enterprise architecture, Security, Cloud and DevOps teams through an alliance relationship and owning the technology solution topics to provide a robust cloud data infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other members of the data team.
Skills:
- 10+ years - Enterprise Data Management and Data Architecture
- 5+ years’ experience in Finance / Banking industry – some understanding of Securities and Banking products
- Proficient in Cloud Data Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of and experience with Big Data technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, etc.
- Significant experience with Cloud Data Warehouse technologies and complex data architecture and models
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Programming language (Python or similar), and/or ETL Tools (Azure Data Factory, Talend, etc.)
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks platform and familiarity with Unity Catalog
- Previous experience leading an enterprise-wide Cloud Data Platform migration.
- Capable of discussing enterprise level services independent of technology stack
- Interest in leading a cutting-edge team, driving the technical vision for a large enterprise
- Cloud certification(s)
Education
- Minimally a BA degree within an engineering and/or computer science discipline
- Master’s degree strongly preferred
The expected base salary ranges from $160K – 225K. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.#LI-Hybrid
