The German Red Hat Services team is looking for a Cloud Consultant to join us in Germany.
In this role, you will work hands on as a subject matter expert in Red Hat’s infrastructure and cloud technology with our clients. You'll answer questions about best practices around automation, reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups and lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat’s technology that delivers freedom, flexibility, and outstanding performance.
You will gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructures, and business issues and you will make recommendations appropriate to their environments. This is a great opportunity to build on your core base of knowledge and work in a fast-paced environment promoting Red Hat’s solutions.
What you will do:
Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and high availability and system resilience
Serve as a subject matter expert, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
Adapt to changing customer requirements and be the trusted advisor
Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions
Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner
Deliver quality results both on-site or remote and post-engagement that are on time and within the scope of the assigned project, including project journals, status reports, and other standard documentation
What you will bring:
Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies on a delivery level
Experience implementing container technologies in an enterprise setting and with enterprise-wide deployments
Knowledge of one or more Red Hat’s infrastructure solutions like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Ansible Automation Platform
Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and lead customer interactions
A strong understanding of the value of AI for our customers and the ability to position Red Hat’s AI Services portfolio as a catalyst for corporate strategy
Understanding of the open source community
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and planning skills
Excellent written and verbal language skills in German and English
German Level C1 and above is mandatory
Willingness to travel, if needed, across EMEA
Prior experience working in a consulting role or Red Hat Certifications are a plus
Willingness to get security cleared is a plus
