Connected Logistics is seeking a Cloud Computing Specialist SME to assist in providing the core network engineering services needed to manage the ongoing operations, planned upgrades, new technology insertion, and strategic capability development of Information Operations Enterprise Enclave (IOEE) and Information Operations Secure Enterprise Enclave (IOSEE) systems and equipment with the goal of providing a secure, reliable, and high-performance network that effectively enables DLA's business activities. This requires the ability to deploy to any DLA site in support of installation or troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role you will serve as an Information Assurance and Cloud computing SME with regards to Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and a broad coverage of the application of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards and guidance as outlined in the NIST Special Publication(s) (SP) 800-53 and 800-37 (Current versions). 

Requirements: 

  • Five (5) years of relevant Certification and Accreditation (C&A) experience 
  •  (RMF) and NIST C&A experience 
  • DOW IA experience
  •  Assessing IA controls experience and conducting C&A reviews for large, complex Information Systems  
  • Possesses the ability to work independently with substantial cloud computing security knowledge.  
  •  Must have the essential skillsets to identify, manage and resolve cloud computing security risk and implement “best practices” as applied within a cloud environment (across all the different deployment and service models, and derivatives). 
  • May need to travel around 3 times a year.
  • Must be well versed in FedRAMP assessment methodology of security and privacy controls deployed in cloud information systems to include six (6) domain areas. 

The six domains include:

  1.  Architectural Concepts & Design Requirements
  2.  Cloud Data Security
  3. Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Security
  4. Cloud Application Security
  5. Operations
  6. Legal & Compliance

Investigative Requirement: At time of proposal the contractor must possess a Moderate Risk, Non-Critical Sensitive, Tier 3/NACLC/ANACI investigation.

Clearence:  Secret

8570/8140: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAM Level III (CISSP, CISM, GSLC or Equivalent)

Computing Environment Certifications:  Cloud Computing Security Certification such as an AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Cloud+, or equivalent

  • Must live within 50 miles of specified DLA locations (Fort Belvoir or Richmond VA; Battle Creek MI; Columbus or Dayton OH; New Cumberland, Tobyhanna or Philadelphia PA; Anniston AL; Fort Bragg NC; Robbins AFB GA; Ogden UT)
