Job Description:
As a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) Solution Architect you will play a critical role in driving the design and delivery of solutions for the organization. You will work with a team of solutions architects and actively work on the development and implementation of Mars’ platforms and cloud-based systems in use every day. The Cloud CoE Client Solutions team works closely with cloud and enterprise architects, operations teams, and other stakeholders to develop the necessary services and landing zones for unique projects that will be deployed to the Mars cloud.
What are we looking for? Education:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is typically required. Some organizations may accept equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or a similar role with a focus on cloud architecture and design.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions, considering scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements.
- Strong knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and technologies.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to gather requirements, define solution architecture, and provide technical guidance.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services is highly preferred; experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (specifically Terraform) and version control workflows (Git) is required.
- Proven application of cloud security principles and best practices in solution design, including data protection, identity management, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and technologies.
- Proficiency in solution design, including system integration, data modeling, and application architecture.
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and their services, including hands-on experience in architecting solutions on these platforms.
- Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc) and knowledge of their respective services are a plus
- Understanding of security principles and best practices, including data protection and identity management.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assess business demands/objectives requirements.
- Create architectural diagrams (LLD).
- Ensure scalability and elasticity.
- Comply with availability and fault tolerance requirements.
- Implement cloud solutions using an Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approach with Git and Terraform.
- Ensure security and compliance standards based on Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework.
- Performance & Cost optimization.
- SPOC in CCoE for customer LLD/Deployment Projects.
- Assist in cross-functional team design discussions.
- Provide feedback about service catalog available requests.
- Be the cloud ambassador (promote Cloud adoption).
