Cloud Solutions Architect

Overview of Position:

Speedcast delivers highly customizable, critical communication solutions for remote sites. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be working with a team of software, systems, and network engineers, to develop and deliver next generation communication products over a variety of common and highly specialized communication paths.

A successful candidate will be capable of working independently, actively, and confidently promote improvements, and incorporate new technologies, throughout the lifecycle of each product.

What you will do:

• Analyze, design and develop network and compute implementations on cloud infrastructure
• Design and implement data structures using the most appropriate database/storage type
• Design and deploy cloud infrastructure
• Design and implement cloud application observability solutions
• Identify improvement areas and recommend design changes for maintaining operational excellence

What we need from you:

• Demonstrable Proficiency/Experience in working with AWS cloud services
• Demonstrable Proficiency/Experience in managing Linux based systems
• Proficiency in building/deploying using containers (e.g., Docker, LXD)
• Proficiency building/deploying using containers (e.g., K8s, Amazon ECS/EKS)
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible)
• Experience in network design and routing protocols
• Experience with designing and deploying robust, cloud-native architectures
• Experience with source version control (e.g., git)

Even better if you have:

• AWS Solutions Architect path certifications
• Knowledge/Experience in SQL and caching databases (e.g., MySQL, Redis)
• Knowledge/Experience in CI/CD Pipelines
• Knowledge/Experience in VPN protocols
• Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes
