The Jr Closer is responsible for assisting the team in the activities of the closing department. This includes Closing/Funding daily procedures and workflow; managing queues; reviewing incoming loans for data accuracy

Principal Duties

  • Learn and utilize loan origination software.
  • Participate in structured training and development program with career path opportunities
  • Assists in turn times and productivity at an individual and department level.
  • Checks all applicable documents in file for accuracy and consistency
  • Use system generated loan conditions to complete the requisite due diligence on all loans
  • Serve as a conduit between the closing department, Processors, and Management to ensure a smooth loan process for the borrower
  • Work effectively under specific time constraints
  • Maintains good communication and relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Operate and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Adheres to all compliance regulations including RESPA credits, MDIA, Change of Circumstance, Rescission, and any additional applicable compliance regulations.
  • Escalates issues when needed and follows directions from supervisor for resolution of issues.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • Basic Knowledge of loan documentation
  • Positive Attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication
  • Knowledge of MDIA, RESPA, and REG Z disclosure requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
