The CLO Developer and Modeling Analyst position requires an individual to design, build and evolve various platforms. Current platform projects include: reconciliation, wire mapping and a data-site. In addition, the individual will work with an external vendor to design, build and evolve a cash file platform. The incumbent will configure, implement and build integration services and APIs, and partner with the CLO team, GCM operations, and IT to deliver secure, scalable financial capabilities. This role suits candidates with a background building digital banking products on modern core platforms, with strong engineering fundamentals and an appreciation for ledger integrity, financial controls, and operability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing applications and APIs.
- Implementing implement integrations and ensuring robust error handling, retries, reconciliation, and observability.
- Writing comprehensive tests, including edge cases and reconciliation scenarios.
- Troubleshoot production issues with a focus on root-cause analysis, stability, and improved runbooks.
- Follow all Bank and Department policies and procedures.
- Timely responses to internal and external inquiries.
- Working knowledge of accounts and governing documents.
- Liaison with relationship managers, administrators, CLO Specialists, CLO Analysts, CLO Operations and other areas of WSFS.
- Work with IT and Risk teams to ensure controls, audit trails, segregation of duties, and compliance-by-design.
- Maintain clear technical documentation (product specs, decision records, operational playbooks).
- Analyze and interpret complex legal documents such as CLO indentures, offering memoranda, and related transaction documents, providing comments and recommendations around modeling and analytical matters.
- Develop, maintain, QC, and enhance CLO compliance and waterfall models, including detailed analysis of compliance tests, collateral quality tests, payment structures, cash flow mechanics, and concentration limits to ensure adherence to indenture provisions.
- Build and analyze investor reports and dashboards that detail noteholder distributions, asset-level information, and other key metrics, enabling timely and transparent communication with stakeholders.
- Utilize quantitative modeling techniques and predictive analytics to assess CLO portfolio performance, risk exposures, and valuation under various scenarios.
- Perform statistical and trend analyses to identify model discrepancies, optimize performance, and implement enhancements to address issues in alignment with evolving market conditions and transaction structures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree or CFA.
- 2+ years developing APIs/integration services in regulated enterprise environments; banking or financial services experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with test automation (datasets, reconciliation & simulation testing).
- Familiarity with data platforms (e.g., SQL, Snowflake/BigQuery, ETL/ELT pipelines) for reporting and analytics.
- Understanding of CLO transaction types such as new issue, refinancings, and resets and familiarity with related concepts like compliance tests, collateral quality tests, concentration limits, payment structures, and cash flow mechanics.
- Strong software engineering background in one or more of: Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, or similar.
- Experience building APIs and integration services (REST/gRPC), plus familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka or equivalent).
- Should be proficient with SQL, Word, Excel and will be required to become familiar with applications used by WSFS, FSB.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in quantitative finance and technology preferred with advanced skills in MS Excel (including macros, advanced functions, and data manipulation), SharePoint, and dashboarding platforms to develop dynamic reports and visualizations.
- Solid grasp of software design principles, version control (Git), and testing practices.
- General knowledge of regulatory rules that apply to communication with customers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize workflow and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision and exercise sound judgment.
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear insights for diverse audiences.
- Proven analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and implement appropriate measures to mitigate the impact of an event affecting USBE’s ability to achieve its objectives. To complete day-to-day activities in a manner which is consistent with legal, regulatory and stakeholder expectations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, investors, and others clearly and concisely. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure the integrity of financial models and reports.

Salary Range:
$77,390.00 - $127,139.75Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
