The skilled Clinician completes assessments, collaborate with their clients to create individualized treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy to assist clients with recovering from substance use disorder. Clinicians work closely with other clinicians, BHTs, Case Managers and clinical administration in the clinical department to provide high quality services to the patient population. Clinicians will complete documentation in the EMR and work with the billing department for all necessary utilization review. 

Applicants must possess at least one of the following licenses in Arizona: LAC, LPC, LASAC, LISAC, LMSC, LCSW, or Psychologist.

Full Time/Salary- Exempt

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Duties/Responsibilities

  

· Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical substance abuse therapy to clients as scheduled in individual and group settings.

· Actively participate as a positive member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.

· Complete clinical assessments and documentation as necessary, including but not limited to, treatment plans, biopsychosocial assessments, concurrent reviews, discharge plans, group and contact notes etc.

· Responsible for providing group and individual treatment as directed by supervisor.

· Complete accurate clinical documentation same day as date of service.

· Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.

· Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.

· Stay current with updated research and best practices.

· Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.

· Secure client information per HIPAA standards.

· Provides and attends in-service training as needed.

· Participate in clinical supervision

Requirements

Qualification Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage Family, Counseling or relative field, from an accredited college or university.
  • Two to three years of experience working in behavioral health or substance abuse field preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required, experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their loved ones and professionals.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong assessment skills.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Working knowledge of twelve-step programs of recovery.
  • Licensed at any level to provide counseling or as a psychologist in the state of operation (i.e. - LPC, LASAC etc. in Arizona).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
