About The Role

Are you passionate about advancing healthcare and supporting innovative medical research? We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Clinical Trials Assistant to join our dynamic research team on a full-time maximum term twelve months contract. In this role you will provide essential administrative, finance, ethics, governance and study start-up support to ensure clinical trials are established, maintained, documented and financially managed in a timely, accurate and compliant manner. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to life-changing research while developing your career in a collaborative and professional clinical research environment.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring prior experience in an administrative, finance, practice management, health service or research support role, along with the following: 

  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional standards in all aspects of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, data entry, filing and financial administration.
  • Proficiency with computer software, databases, document management systems, spreadsheets and electronic communication systems.
  • Ability to develop rapport with patients, families, investigators, sponsors, CROs and internal hospital stakeholders.
  • Understanding of confidentiality, patient privacy, data integrity and appropriate handling of clinical trial information.
  • Ability to follow established policies, standard operating procedures and study-specific requirements.

Desirable

  • Experience in clinical trials, research, healthcare, or medical administration environments.
  • Experience with clinical trial finances, including invoicing, budgeting, or patient reimbursements.
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Knowledge of research ethics, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and/or Research Governance submissions.
  • Proficiency in clinical trial management, document management, or finance systems.
  • Familiarity with sponsor/CRO communications, study start-up activities, and trial documentation.

  • Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
