The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing individual and group supervision to the case manager, recovery specialists and interns.  The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the use of evidence based practices and for supporting staff in developing skills in responding to complex issues such as co-occurring disorders and trauma.  The Clinical Supervisor is also responsible for conducting assessments and providing individual and group services to residents. 

Responsibilities: 

1. Provides clinical supervision and crisis consultation to clinical staff and interns including monitoring caseloads and assigning new clients as appropriate.

2. Develops a system for auditing clinical documentation for quality, timelines and compliance with regulations and program policies and procedures.

3. Provides and documents supervision to program clinical staff and recovery specialists.

4. Provides training to ensure the use of evidence based practices by clinical staff.

5. Conducts assessments and individual and group counseling services.

6. Completes all clinical documentation in a timely manner.

7. In collaboration with program leadership, continually reviews the clinical program design and implements recommendations for improved client treatment.

8. Participates in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.  Discusses and develops strategies to maximize client’s continuation and compliance in treatment.

9. Regularly reviews the group treatment curriculum and develops new groups in response to the needs of the client population.

10. Develops and maintains working relationships with other representatives from other agencies including medication assisted treatment programs, primary health care, outpatient treatment providers and social services programs. 

11. Adheres to federal and state regulations, contractual obligations and agency policies and procedures.

12. Participates in rotating weekend and after hours on call coverage.

13. Other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications & Education:

  • Master's degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field required: clinical psychology, mental health, psychology, rehabilitative counseling, social work.

  • Independent licensure preferred (LICSW, LMHC, LADC I). Must be on track to obtain independent licensure prior to January 1, 2028.

  • Two years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience and at least one-year full time equivalent year of clinical experience in a supervisory role required. May be able to consider candidates without one year of supervisory experience if independently licensed.

  • Must demonstrate ability to relate to a substance use treatment population in a sensitive manner, an interest and willingness to work in a multicultural setting and must share a customer service orientation. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. Manages difficult or emotional client situations; Responds promptly to client needs and maintains confidentiality.

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours per week.



Pay Range:

$74,963.20 USD - $103,188.80 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.

Skills Required

  • Master's degree in social work or related field
  • 1 year minimum supervisory experience
  • 2 years minimum experience in substance abuse field
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor
  • Ability to relate to a substance abuse treatment population
  • Computer literate in standard desktop applications
