We are seeking a Clinical Solutions Specialist, International to join our team.
Job Summary
The Clinical Solutions Specialist is responsible for bridging the gap between clinical and IT personnel at healthcare organisations. The Clinical Solutions Specialist works with the Imprivata Clinical and Professional Services teams to engage on customer implementation projects post-sale, applying clinical, organisational, and change management skills to directly contribute to solution implementation success. This role will collaborate with customers clinical teams to understand clinical and business workflows, define functional requirements, convey requirements to colleagues engaged in configuration activities, and coordinate clinical user acceptance testing. This role will also be a key contributor in the development and evolution of Imprivata's clinical implementation methodology. Extensive domestic and occasional international travel is required up to 75%+ of the time.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use communications skills to bridge the gap between clinical and IT personnel at acute care hospitals and other healthcare institutions through on-site visits, telephone conversations, web conferences and electronic mail
  • Execution of assigned project tasks including consulting on Imprivata solutions, clinical workflow design and testing, as well as providing guidance and clinical best practices to the customers on utilising the solutions within their environment
  • Create concise Clinical Design Documentation consisting of appropriate workflows and recommendations throughout each clinical area
  • Contribute to the creation & maintenance of process related 'best practice' methodologies, training, and documentation
  • Identify clinical risks and contribute to the development of appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Work with Clinical Informatics Analyst to improve existing workflows and processes using Imprivata solutions
  • Provide implementation & post-implementation support
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site at various hospitals and other locations as needed
  • Experiences will include interfacing with both IT and clinical leadership and staff
  • Other duties as assigned and required


Required Qualifications

  • Nursing degree preferred or equivalent extensive clinical operations experience is also acceptable
  • Prior or current clinical or operational experience
  • Expertise in clinical workflows in major acute care hospital settings; inpatient units, intensive care units, emergency departments, theatres, anesthesia, maternity, radiology, and outpatient/ambulatory settings
  • Credibility in the clinical setting
  • Ability to translate clinical workflow terminology and processes into laymen's terms and discuss with product managers or other Imprivata employees without clinical backgrounds
  • Exemplary communication skills and the ability to network with clinical peers and members of the Imprivata team
  • Ability to lead or participate in cross-functional teams in a goal-directed manner
  • Familiarity with typical acute care hospital information technologies is preferable (electronic health records, computerised order entry, e-prescribing (EPMA), bed management systems and national health systems e.g. NHS SPINE)
  • Familiarity with current healthcare policy and regulations, such as the NHS guidelines and information governance is preferable
  • Familiarity with product management and the software development life cycle is preferred but not necessary
  • Exemplary writing skills to document clinical analysis and clearly articulate recommendations
