Powering the world’s most important systems with data that saves lives, runs businesses, and shapes the future.
The Role

InterSystems is seeking clinically experienced product leaders who are motivated by improving how healthcare is delivered through technology. This role is ideal for professionals with clinical and/or healthcare operations backgrounds and deep experience with health information systems who want to directly influence the evolution of enterprise EHR solutions used by healthcare organizations worldwide.

InterSystems EHR is a clinically focused, enterprise electronic health record platform supporting end-to-end patient care across hospitals and health systems. It delivers a unified, patient-centric record that enables clinicians and care teams to access accurate, real-time information across care settings, specialties, and departments—supporting safe, efficient, and coordinated care delivery at scale.

The InterSystems EHR portfolio includes TrakCare, a globally deployed EHR supporting core clinical and administrative workflows, and IntelliCare, a next-generation evolution of TrakCare with embedded artificial intelligence. Together, they support patient administration, clinical documentation, orders and results management, medication workflows, diagnostics, and revenue-related processes within a single, integrated platform.

Designed with clinician workflows at the forefront, InterSystems EHR emphasizes usability, interoperability, and clinical efficiency. IntelliCare extends these capabilities through AI-enabled automation and decision support, helping reduce documentation burden, surface relevant clinical insights, and enable clinicians to focus more fully on patient care. Built on InterSystems’ interoperable data platform, the solution scales to complex healthcare environments and supports standards-based data exchange globally.

The Clinical Product Specialist plays a high-impact role in bridging real-world clinical practice and product functionality. This role has direct influence on product direction, workflow design, and customer success, partnering closely with clinicians, product management, development, and implementation teams to ensure InterSystems EHR solutions meet the evolving needs of healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute directly to the strategic direction and roadmap of one or more InterSystems EHR products, including feature design, workflow definition, user interaction, and requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, implementation, testing, support, sales, and field engineering teams to bring new features and products to successful release
  • Engage regularly with healthcare customers and end users to understand clinical and operational workflows, translate needs into product requirements, and help customers realize maximum value from TrakCare solutions
  • Serve as the internal “voice of the customer,” applying clinical and healthcare domain expertise to guide product design, prioritization, and decision-making
  • Collaborate with Product Management colleagues to ensure product cohesion, consistency, and alignment across the TrakCare and IntelliCare portfolio
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert in one or more healthcare domains (e.g., inpatient, ambulatory, medication workflows, care coordination, quality, or operations)
  • Monitor and advise on industry trends, including regulatory changes, evolving clinical practices, and advances in healthcare technology and informatics
  • Participate in evaluating the impact of TrakCare solutions on quality, safety, clinician experience, and operational efficiency
  • Represent InterSystems within the broader clinical and informatics community, including participation in national and international conferences and professional forums

Qualifications

  • Education in a health-related discipline or health informatics and 5+ years of relevant professional experience in healthcare, health IT, or clinical informatics
  • Practical clinical experience (e.g., nurse, pharmacist, allied health professional) and/or hands-on operational experience within healthcare organizations (e.g., quality, safety, care management, care coordination, analytics)
  • Demonstrated domain expertise with a strong understanding of real-world healthcare workflows and EHR use
  • Prior experience working closely with healthcare application design, configuration, optimization, or implementation—either within industry or a provider organization
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both clinical and technical audiences
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, including direct interaction with healthcare customers and stakeholders
