At Grow Therapy, we’re rethinking access to mental health care by rebuilding the systems behind it.
The Role

About Us:

Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Clinical Product Specialist, AI Quality to join our Clinical Product team at Grow Therapy. As we deploy AI tools across our 20,000+ provider network, clinical safety and quality assurance becomes mission-critical.

This role puts you at the center of that transformation. You will review outputs no one has seen before, contribute to real-time product improvements, and ensure our AI features are clinically safe, appropriate, and effective. It’s equal parts quality assurance, clinical judgment, and innovation, designed for a clinician who wants to shape the future responsibly.

We are looking for someone with deep clinical expertise, a strong clinical quality mindset, and a working understanding of how AI tools support care delivery. You will help shape how cutting-edge AI tools are evaluated, validated, and responsibly scaled in clinical workflows. Working cross-functionally, you will identify safety risks, assess therapeutic appropriateness, and uphold clinical standards across a growing portfolio of AI-powered features.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conducting systematic quality reviews of AI-generated outputs across features, identifying clinical risks and surfacing safety issues
  • Defining and refining clinical QA protocols, guardrails, and escalation pathways for new and existing AI features
  • Contributing to clinical incident escalation and triage processes for flagged risks
  • Collaborating with Product and Engineering to iterate on model behavior and prompt design based on clinical appropriateness and safety
  • Supporting the development of safety metrics and dashboards with the Data team
  • Collaborating on tooling improvements to scale clinical QA, including automated review systems and evaluators
  • Providing clinical expertise during product development sprints and launch planning, including provider training and enablement for new AI tools
  • Partnering with Clinical Excellence, Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to ensure clinical and regulatory alignment across the AI product portfolio
  • Supporting general product initiatives as needed, including clinical evaluation of new features, provider-facing enablement content, and go-to-market activities

You’ll Be a Good Fit If:

  • You hold an active clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Psychologist) and have at least 4–5 years of direct clinical experience, with strong clinical judgment and a deep understanding of therapeutic appropriateness
  • Experience with quality assurance/improvement, clinical review, supervision, or clinical documentation
  • Experience with AI/ML tools, digital health platforms, and healthcare technology
  • Strong analytical skills and systematic approach to evaluating clinical outputs at scale
  • Understanding clinical risk assessment and safety protocols, and can identify when care deviates from evidence-based standards
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and clinical outcome measurement
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Clinical teams in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Have:

  • Experience with measurement-based care, clinical research, or quality improvement initiatives
  • Exposure to telehealth workflows or technology-enabled care delivery
Experience supporting go-to-market activities, provider training, or clinical enablement
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation standards, compliance expectations, or healthcare regulations

Role Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
  • The base compensation for this position is $122,000 - 143,000 USD.

Please Note:  Grow Therapy adjusts base salary based on geographic location, leveling, and experience, so your compensation could land anywhere within the posted range.

What We Do

We see technology not as a layer on top of care, but as the connective tissue that helps it grow. Grow Therapy is an online therapy platform that helps you find a therapist who gets you—and takes your insurance. Grow was founded to create end-to-end systems that make therapy easier on both sides: helping therapists launch and grow thriving private practices by removing the friction of credentialing, billing, and insurance, so they can focus on care, and helping clients actually find and afford it. Our founders come from Harvard Medical School, Stripe, and Blackstone, and bring Grow’s mission to life from the inside out, pairing bold vision with a culture of balance, belonging, and whole-person wellness. We believe change starts by empowering therapists. Grow’s smart platform helps independent providers build sustainable practices by handling credentialing, billing, and referrals, so they can focus on what matters. With business tools, a supportive clinical community, and opportunities like CE events and speaking engagements, Grow helps therapists practice with more autonomy and less administrative strain, reducing no-shows, increasing demand, and creating more space for care. We then help people find those licensed therapists who reflect their lived experience, whether that means shared racial or cultural background, language, identity, or life stage. Our platform makes it easy to search by specialty, availability, and insurance so clients can book care that fits their life and budget. Today, Grow supports thousands of therapists and prescribers across all 50 states and has delivered care to over 1 million clients. We’re in-network with 100+ major insurers, including Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, Medicaid, and UnitedHealthcare, and have raised more than $178M from leading investors like Sequoia Capital, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, TCV, Transformation Capital, SignalFire, and Plus Capital. We believe in benefits that support the whole you. That means two hours each week to care for your mental health, free access to therapy through Grow, $500 learning and $300 wellness stipends, a $1,000 remote office setup, free in-office meals, and flexible PTO with a paid December recharge week. We’re building the future of mental healthcare and that starts with how we care for our own team. If you’re excited by bold challenges and meaningful impact, Grow with us.

Why Work With Us

At Grow Therapy, we believe well-being isn’t just a perk—it’s part of how we work. From clinicians to engineers, every voice helps shape the care we build. Our mission-driven team is rethinking mental health care, supported by flexible PTO, paid winter recharge, mental health breaks, no-cost therapy through our platform, and wellness perks.
