We pride ourselves on a strong commitment to equitable, evidence-based holistic medical, dental and behavioral healthcare. Our community health center is a designated Patient Centered Medical Home, coordinating a robust collaborative of community health partnership (wellness center, prescription produce program, teaching kitchen, medical legal partnership). In addition to in-house pharmacy, WFM provides a sizeable network of in-house specialty service clinics (HIV, Hep C, Sports Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Wound Care). Through these various programs, we offer comprehensive, affordable primary care to patients across a broad range of demographics. GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
Waco is a mid-sized city in Central Texas. It is situated on the I-35 corridor between Dallas and Austin. It boasts major attractions, historic homes, recreational venues, theatrical and musical productions, as well as art exhibitions. Waco is home to Baylor University and Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Market at the Silos (https://magnolia.com/silos/).
The city is the birthplace of Dr Pepper, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. Waco also boasts a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities from kayaking on the Brazos River to world-class mountain-biking and hiking trails in Cameron Park, the largest urban city park in the nation after Central Park.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
- MD or DO degree from accredited medical school program.
- Board eligible or Board certification required.
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
- Current DEA & DPS license. Current BLS certification
SKILLS

- Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred, though not required.

What We Do
Waco Family Medicine is a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center established in 1969 to provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care to underserved residents of the Heart of Texas. They offer integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health services across multiple clinic sites and operate a residency program to train compassionate family physicians, ensuring improved medical access for low-income community members in Waco and McLennan County.
