As the Clinical Pharmacy Lead you will monitor drug development pipeline, and medical literature, while providing clinical support for internal stakeholders. Utilize broad understanding of managed care and PBM knowledge to develop, and/or implement strategies and programs to reduce cost trend and improve health outcomes. As a Clinical Pharmacy Lead you will work on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. You will report to a leader and be a part of the HPS Clinical Program Strategy team.

You will:

  • Develop, and operationalize formularies related to coverage, utilization management edits, or clinical coverage policies for pharmacy and medical administered drug products.
  • Conduct analysis on drug use trends to evaluate and inform formulary strategies.
  • Collaborate on research projects and develop proposals for research projects.
  • Develop corporate communications to be shared with senior leadership.
  • Support trend management by conducting analysis of drug spend, utilization, and/or approval scenarios.
  • Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job responsibilities and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, use independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must have an active Pharmacist license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state
  • Successful track record in facilitating and consulting across teams and managing projects
  • Expertise in working collaboratively and communicating with staff in different positions and all levels of management positions

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$138,900 - $191,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
