If you're super-organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who has the ability to work independently and is looking for a great opportunity Regions Hospital Sleep Center has an opening for a highly motivated Office Coordinator to join our team. The coordinator shows a professional attitude and reflects a positive reflection of the Sleep Health Center, due to usually being the first point of contact for patients to the Sleep Health Center.
The right person for this opportunity will provide clerical functions in a clinical setting including:
- Scheduling diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and tests.
- Scheduling patient appointments, patient reception, coding, charging and services, physician order transcription, other data entry and report compilation and other data entry and report compilation.
- Provides support to keep day-to-day operations within the Sleep Heath Center running efficiently.
- Provides direction to make sure all facility maintenance and issues are taken care of proactively.
- Provides support for other departments of which the sleep heath center contracts space too.
- Completes related duties as assigned by the manager of the sleep health program.
Work schedule: FTE: .5 (20 hrs. weekly), Day Shift- 8:00 am-4:30 pm.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a secretary, clerk or equivalent position, this must include direct customer/patient service.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Completion of a medical terminology course
Experience: Experience in a medical or clinical office setting preferred. Medical care coordination, health unit coordinator or equivalent training/education is preferred (applicant with sleep center experience, knowledge or training preferred).
