Position Details

Palm Lake Care Mount Warren Park is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse to join our clinical leadership team on a Full Time basis from Monday to Friday. You’ll work closely with the Clinical Manager to ensure the highest standards of clinical care are delivered every day.


You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values innovation, communication, and compassion in every aspect of care.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring quality care and compliance across the home. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and supporting the day today delivery of high-quality clinical care under the guidance of the Clinical Manager

  • Providing clinical leadership and mentoring to Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants

  • Overseeing resident assessments, care planning, and documentation in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards

  • Managing and reviewing complex wound care and coordinating allied health referrals

  • Supporting the Clinical Manager in audits, quality improvement programs, and compliance activities

  • Promoting excellence in infection control and clinical governance

  • Assisting with staff education, onboarding, and performance support

  • Ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Code of Conduct, Aged Care Quality Standards, and Charter of Rights

  • Participating in continuous improvement and clinical meetings to enhance resident outcomes

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this leadership role, you will bring:

  • Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA registration

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a senior nursing role within Residential Aged Care

  • Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards

  • Gerontology Certificate / Diploma or willingness to undertake same

  • Excellent clinical assessment, leadership, and mentoring skills

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to deteriorating residents

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and health professionals

  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement

  • Current National Police Check and valid C-Class Driver’s Licence

  • A positive attitude, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
