Clinical Nurse | Anaesthetics

Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital

Permanent Part-Time Opportunity | 32 hours Per Week

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Anaesthetics Registered Nurse who is ready to step into key leadership role within our Anaesthetics department.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will be required to act as a team leader, professional resource, passionate mentor, and a positive role model to junior team members. You will maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and manage rapidly changing situations with proficiency and care.
This leadership role will see the successful candidate be fully supported to enhance their skills and grow a career into a management position.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise patient care, direct workloads, and resource allocation within the department
  • Serve as a resource person, providing support and ensuring that high-quality, evidence-based care is provided, with an emphasis on National standards
  • Oversee the mentorship and preceptorship of graduate and transitioning Registered Nurses and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses within the department, facilitating learning opportunities and providing timely feedback on nursing performance

About You
You will bring exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 4 years' experience working in an acute hospital setting
  • Demonstrated Anaesthetics experience 
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded
  • A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance
  • Clinical leadership experience is desirable but not essential
