As we continue to grow, we are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Clinical Educator to support the development and success of our clinical support teams. This key role will help elevate care standards by designing and implementing training programs, validating clinical competencies, and building scalable education infrastructure to support long-term growth, compliance, and operational excellence.

Position Summary
The Clinical Educator supports the clinical workforce at Urology Austin by evaluating training programs for clinical staff. This role ensures consistent onboarding, competency validation, regulatory compliance, and continuing education across the organization. The Clinical Educator works closely with Site Managers, clinical leadership, and other stakeholders as appropriate to uphold standards of patient care, develop scalable training infrastructure, and prepare staff for internal quality reviews and external audits.

Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) preferred; other clinical credentials can be considered with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in outpatient or specialty care. Urology experience is a plus.
  • Experience leading training, education, or clinical workforce development programs required.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, medical documentation, OSHA/HIPAA compliance, and outpatient procedures.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and instructional skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage training schedules, track progress, and ensure consistent delivery across sites
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and training development tools.
Essential Job Duties

New Hire Training
  • Deliver onboarding programs for new MAs and clinical support staff, including both classroom-style and hands-on training.
  • Train clinical staff on:
    • Medical terminology and office procedures
    • Electronic health record (EHR) workflows and documentation
    • Clinical skills such as vital signs, injections, and specimen handling
    • Regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, infection control)
    • Specimen collection, labeling, and Clinitek testing
    • Urology-specific workflows, including PTNS
  • Partner with site leadership to track onboarding progress and support the Preceptor Program by training and coaching preceptors.
Ongoing Development & Competency Management
  • Conduct regular skills validations, return demonstrations, and competency check-offs.
  • Provide refresher training and follow-up education after audits, incidents, or workflow issues.
  • Observe staff performance in clinic settings and deliver real-time coaching and feedback.
  • Reinforce documentation best practices and support cross-training to increase staffing flexibility.
  • Deliver annual training calendar sessions and scheduled refreshers.
Training Resources & Evaluation
  • Use established training manuals, job aids, and checklists to guide sessions.
  • Ensure training content reflects updated policies and standards.
  • Recommend updates to materials based on staff feedback or observed gaps.
  • Track onboarding progress, training completions, and competency documentation.
  • Report training outcomes and performance feedback to managers.
  • Identify and escalate common training needs and trends.
  • Ensure audit readiness by validating staff competencies and compliance.
  • Continuously refine training processes to improve scalability and effectiveness.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Role requires regular computer and communication tasks, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, and varied vision use. Work is primarily in a clinic setting with moderate noise, frequent interaction, minimal exposure to communicable diseases, and potential time-sensitive stress. Skills Required
